Press lever : Steel lever with wooden handle. It looks like the lever has been blued, not painted. If so, it is in an excellent condition.
Turning lever : Black painted steel with wooden grip

Paint : Retains almost all of its original black paint
Table clamp : Steel screw has round top without pins.

There is nothing known about “ALPHA”. It is not mentioned in Nigel Brown’s “British Gunmakers”. Alpha worked for gunmakers. See ALPHA CAP 1, where Alpha made a capper for W. Chalkley in Winchester, apparently a gunshop – not a gunmaker, because not mentioned by Nigel Brown.
