Remarks :
There is no maker’s name on this tool. The 3119X for shop use tool is not depicted in the 1882 or the 1883 catalogue. The handle of the table screw, the screw itself and the model make me believe that this is a Dixon 3119 for shop use.
Paul Collis shows a similar tool, but doesn’t tell what catalogue number it has. It looks like an “X “ number, but is however not the same as UK DIXON BC 3119X or UK DIXON BC 3119X-1
Another amazing thing is, that these tools have a press lever no 6. The other 3119 tools have a lever no 5. So you would expect a no 5 lever at this tool. There is already a “X” model with a no 6 lever, the 5119X.
So if someone has a UK DIXON BC 3119X or UK DIXON BC 3119X-1 with Dixon’s catalogue number stamped on it, please send me a clear photograph.
