Remarks :
The 1882 catalogue states:
“1114 Cartridge Cutters with lever and square blade.” The 1114 has a round blade and a notch in which the knife (blade) falls.
The 1114-1 is different. It has a square blade. But is also shorter. It doesn’t have the notch, but the blade cuts just outside the tube. Apparently the tube hasn’t been shortened but was originally made so.
